Content Policy & Acceptable Use
Last updated: February 2026
CastProof is committed to enabling a new creative economy where AI-generated content and licensed likeness coexist responsibly. This Content Policy establishes what content can be requested, generated, approved, delivered, and showcased on CastProof. It applies to all users — Creators, Models, and administrators — without exception.
CastProof enforces two layers of content controls that work in tandem to protect every participant on the platform:
- Platform Policy — global rules that apply to all content on CastProof.
- Model Restrictions — per-model rules that can be stricter than the platform policy, giving each Model granular control over how their likeness is used.
If either layer denies a request, the content is blocked. There are no exceptions.
1. Our Content Philosophy
CastProof exists to empower creative expression while ensuring that every person whose likeness appears in AI-generated content has given informed, explicit consent. We believe that:
- Consent is non-negotiable. No likeness may be used commercially without the Model's explicit, revocable approval.
- Safety is the default. Content policy and model restrictions are applied before generation and before delivery — never as an afterthought.
- Auditability is mandatory. Every asset, request, and action on CastProof is traceable — who requested what, when, and under what license.
- Transparency builds trust. Creators know what they can and cannot do. Models know exactly how their likeness is being used. The rules are clear.
2. Globally Prohibited Content
The following categories of content are absolutely prohibited on CastProof under all circumstances. These are hard blocks — no override, no exception, no review path:
2.1 Child Safety (Zero Tolerance)
- Any depiction of a person under 18 years of age, including content designed to appear as if it depicts a minor.
- Sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance, immediate account termination, and mandatory reporting to authorities.
- Any use of a minor's likeness for any purpose on the platform.
2.2 Non-Consensual Content
- Non-consensual sexual content, including "revenge" themes, coercion, or exploitation.
- Illegal exploitation and human trafficking content.
- Unauthorized use of any real person's likeness outside CastProof's licensing workflow.
2.3 Hate, Harassment & Extremism
- Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Dehumanization, recruitment for extremist organizations, or praise of violence.
- Content that encourages self-harm or depicts graphic self-harm.
2.4 Fraud & Impersonation
- Fraudulent impersonation designed to deceive — including scams, forged endorsements, and fake crisis events.
- Identity theft content intended to enable impersonation (e.g., fake ID videos, voice cloning for phishing).
- Deepfake political persuasion involving real public figures or private individuals without documented permission.
2.5 Illegal Activity
- Content that provides instructions for or facilitates illegal acts, including violence, weapons manufacturing, drug trafficking, or financial fraud.
- Content that violates applicable laws, regulations, or third-party intellectual property rights.
3. Restricted Content Categories
The following content categories are permitted only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The Model has explicitly opted in to the category.
- The content is clearly disclosed and labeled.
- The usage scope is bounded and documented.
- Additional review gates have been passed.
3.1 Political Content
Political endorsements, campaign advertisements, and advocacy content require explicit Model opt-in, clear disclosure that the content is AI-generated, and compliance with applicable election advertising laws.
3.2 Medical and Health Claims
Content involving medical claims — especially product advertisements — must include appropriate disclaimers and must not make unsubstantiated health promises. Model opt-in is mandatory.
3.3 Financial Claims
Content involving investment advice, "get rich" schemes, or financial product endorsements requires Model opt-in and must comply with financial advertising regulations.
3.4 Sensitive Events
Content relating to crises, disasters, or other sensitive events is restricted when it could mislead viewers about the reality of the event.
3.5 Weapons and Violence
Non-graphic, fictional, contextual depictions of weapons or violence may be permitted with Model opt-in and appropriate content labeling.
3.6 Adult Themes
Non-explicit adult-themed content is permitted only with strict Model opt-in, age-gated distribution, and full compliance with platform publishing requirements. Explicit sexual content is governed by additional safeguards and Model consent obligations.
4. Model Restriction Controls
Models have full control over how their likeness is used. CastProof's restriction engine enforces the following per-model controls:
4.1 Hard "No" List
Categories or keywords that the Model absolutely disallows. Requests matching these restrictions are automatically blocked before generation — no Creator can bypass them.
4.2 Conditional Allows
Categories permitted only if specific constraints are met. For example:
- "Alcohol ads allowed only if background appearance, no drinking depicted"
- "No political endorsements ever"
- "Fashion content allowed only for specified brands"
4.3 Required Disclosures
Models can mandate that Creators disclose specific information when publishing content using their likeness — for example, requiring "AI-generated" labeling on all published works.
4.4 Distribution Constraints
Models can restrict which channels their likeness may appear on (YouTube, TikTok, broadcast, paid ads), as well as geographic territory and time duration limits.
4.5 Exclusivity Constraints
Models can specify exclusivity requirements — for example, prohibiting competing brands from using their likeness simultaneously.
5. Policy Enforcement Gates
CastProof enforces content policy at four distinct stages of the content lifecycle:
Gate 1 — Request Intake (Pre-Generation)
Before any AI generation begins, CastProof evaluates the Creator's declared usage, distribution scope, script/scene summary, prompt text, and Model restrictions compatibility. Requests that conflict with platform policy or Model restrictions are blocked here.
Gate 2 — Post-Generation Review
After generation but before the Model sees previews, CastProof runs automated classification and moderation. Content flagged for potential violations is reviewed before proceeding. A clear content summary is generated for the Model's review.
Gate 3 — Model Approval
The Model reviews the usage scope (license terms), specific outputs (clips/images), and decides whether to approve or reject the request. This is the human-in-the-loop consent gate.
Gate 4 — Delivery & Publishing
Deliverables are released only after payment is completed. CastProof enforces "AI-generated" labeling reminders for platforms that require disclosure (such as TikTok's AIGC labeling rules).
6. Enforcement Actions
Violations of this Content Policy result in progressive enforcement actions:
- Content Removal. The offending request, output, or deliverable is immediately removed from the platform.
- Account Warning. A formal warning is issued and documented on the account.
- Temporary Suspension. The account is suspended for a minimum of 30 days. All pending payouts and deliverables are frozen.
- Permanent Ban. The account is permanently terminated. All generated content associated with the account is reviewed for further action.
- Payment Holds & Refunds. Payouts linked to violating content are frozen or clawed back. Refund workflows are initiated where appropriate.
- Evidence Bundles & Escalation. For serious violations, CastProof creates an immutable evidence bundle and may escalate to law enforcement.
CastProof reserves the right to take immediate, severe action (including permanent termination) for egregious violations, regardless of prior offense history. See our DMCA & Takedown Policy for more details on enforcement procedures.
7. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content on CastProof that you believe violates this policy, you can report it through any of the following channels:
- In-Platform Reporting. Use the "Report" button available on all content and profiles within the platform.
- Email. Send a detailed report to safety@castproof.com, including URLs, screenshots, and a description of the violation.
- DMCA / Takedown. For intellectual property or likeness rights violations, follow the process outlined in our DMCA & Takedown Policy.

9. Appeals Process
If you believe a content moderation decision was made in error, you have the right to appeal. CastProof provides a transparent and fair appeals process for all content-related actions.
9.1 Who Can Appeal
Any Creator or Model who has received a content removal, account warning, content restriction, or account suspension may file an appeal.
9.2 How to File an Appeal
- In-App Appeal: Navigate to the notification or enforcement action in your dashboard and select "Appeal This Decision."
- Email Appeal: Send a detailed appeal to appeals@castproof.com with your account email, the content or action in question, and a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect.
Appeals must be filed within 30 days of the enforcement action.
9.3 Review Process
- All appeals are reviewed by a member of the CastProof Trust & Safety team who was not involved in the original decision.
- We aim to respond to all appeals within 10 business days.
- You will receive a written decision explaining the outcome and reasoning.
- If the appeal is upheld, the enforcement action will be reversed and any affected content will be restored.
9.4 Final Decision
The decision on appeal is final and binding. If you disagree with the appeal outcome, your remedies are governed by the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions in our Terms of Service.
